On my home turf of Frome, im delighted to offer this bite sized course ideal for any mushroom lovers.
Two mornings bookable together or separately, with an option to stay on after lunch and practice the skills inoculating Vallis Veges new mushroom farm!
Friday, 30th of May, 9.30-12.30am : Will cover Introduction to growing skills focusing on the ancient knowledge of shiitake from Japan and other edible native mushrooms including lions mane, chicken of the woods and beefsteak fungi. Learn how to site where to grow, equipment, and medicinal qualities within edible mushooms
Saturday May 31st : 10 am - 1.00pm : We'll cover working and growing medicinal mushrooms, especially covering growing and using native strains and how to work with them in a way that makes their medicine biovavilable for the body.
If you are local, we kindly ask that you walk or cycle to our course. We will greet you with medicinal mushroom hot chai and something delicious.
The site only has parking for those with limited mobility. If coming from further afield please arrive with plenty of time to park at Wellington Way, park and walk along the footpath and be ready to start on time.
A delicious Hyper local lunch is included after each workshop. Please do let us know if you have dietry requirements.
All course attendees please do book community inoculation event if you'd like to stay on to practice your skills in the afternoon of either or both of the days.
